Thankful for modern medicine!

I am quite behind on blogging but a blog-worthy event has taken place, so here I am.

I am 27 weeks along and we had an ultrasound today to check the umbilical cord and placenta There was originally some concern about where the cord was inserted and how firmly and that seems to be OK. What they found today that they weren't looking for is that my cervix is too thin and starting to open.My OB returned from vacation last night from out of state and met us at his office today. He decided it will be best to sew up my cervix tonight to keep little Bobo in the womb longer. They'll take the stitches out at 37 weeks so Bobo can come anytime after that. I am in the hospital now hooked up to machines awaiting the procedure. My OB said he probably wouldn't have caught this during a normal exam so we're thankful we had the ultrasound today and it was detected then. God is good and knows just what we need!

We are at peace and feeling pretty good about it all. I have to stay in the hospital overnight to be monitored and then will be on modified bedrest fora while. I'm glad they caught it early and can do something about it to keep Bobo safely in the womb!

Thanks for praying! I'll try to update tomorrow and also try to post some more on the blog. I'll have some down time so I might as well!
