Thanks everyone who has prayed for us this past week! I sure didn't expect to have surgery or be on bedrest this week, but I'm doing well. I'm resting in that God knew all about this before we did and has everything under control.
We couldn't have asked for things to go more smoothly at the hospital and I really felt God's peace and presence through it all. The song "Jesus Lover of My Soul" played in my head during the procedure (that took all of 12 minutes!). The OR nurse is actually a renter of ours and we recognized each other. She also is a believer and goes to our church, so it was great to have a familiar face and I know she was praying for me! I was in the "Women's Center" at the hospital for about 16 hours which is where we'll be delivering. It was kind of nice to have a "dry run" of the place and get familiar with some of the nurses (who were all amazing!).
I am now on modified bedrest, which basically means I stay in a seated or laying down position almost all day except to go to the bathroom or grab a snack! I'm actually doing ok with it so far (it's only day 3). I figure any measures necessary to facilitate Bobo to stay in and grow to full term and healthy is completely worth it! We got a cute ultrasound pic of him from the other day and he has cute chubby cheeks! He's 2 1/2 lbs right now. My love is being super supportive and loving and is taking good care of me. I have dear friends as well who are checking in on me and bringing us meals, we are loved! We see my OB next Wed and will find out how much or little activity I need to do or avoid for the next 12 weeks. Until then, I may as well enjoy the down time!
